Arborist Job Description

Customer Relations

  • Monitor and ensure that the highest level of customer care is provided. Develop and establish strong customer relationships.
  • Ensure that new & potential customers are being educated on the features and benefits of the services provided.
  • Ensure that all customer complaints and billing disputes are handled professionally, appropriately and in a timely manner.

Sales

  • Ensure that the highest level of customer care is provided.
  • Set personal sales expectations in conjunction with branch managers.
  • Provide written work estimates on-site to clients.
  • Negotiate contract and bid proposals for residential and commercial clients.
  • Establish strong customer relations and resolve customer complaints.
  • Develop and implement tree-management plans and plant health-care programs.
  • Educate new and potential customers on features and benefits of services we provide.
  • Continually prospect for new business and manage accounts receivables collections for your assigned territory.
  • Participate in local community events and establish a presence with strong community ties.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and controlled work place environment.
  • Provide management and leadership to production crews.
  • Enforce company safety and training policies.>

Requirements

  • Two- or four-year degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Floriculture, Environment Sciences, Biological Sciences or Business/Marketing.
  • Five years' industry experience selling tree care could also meet requirements in lieu of formal education.
  • Excellent technical, selling and communication skills.
