Arborist Job Description
Customer Relations
- Monitor and ensure that the highest level of customer care is provided. Develop and establish strong customer relationships.
- Ensure that new & potential customers are being educated on the features and benefits of the services provided.
- Ensure that all customer complaints and billing disputes are handled professionally, appropriately and in a timely manner.
Sales
- Ensure that the highest level of customer care is provided.
- Set personal sales expectations in conjunction with branch managers.
- Provide written work estimates on-site to clients.
- Negotiate contract and bid proposals for residential and commercial clients.
- Establish strong customer relations and resolve customer complaints.
- Develop and implement tree-management plans and plant health-care programs.
- Educate new and potential customers on features and benefits of services we provide.
- Continually prospect for new business and manage accounts receivables collections for your assigned territory.
- Participate in local community events and establish a presence with strong community ties.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and controlled work place environment.
- Provide management and leadership to production crews.
- Enforce company safety and training policies.>
Requirements
- Two- or four-year degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Floriculture, Environment Sciences, Biological Sciences or Business/Marketing.
- Five years' industry experience selling tree care could also meet requirements in lieu of formal education.
- Excellent technical, selling and communication skills.
